President Joe Biden informed other Democrats that he plans to eliminate his proposal for tuition-free community college Tuesday according to numerous news outlets, the first of many concessions—including shortened paid leave, cutbacks on renewable energy spending and a rolled-back child tax credit—that could be coming to a spending plan Reuters reports is now expected to be between $1.75 trillion and $1.9 trillion, a steep cut from its initial $3.5 trillion projected price tag.
