As a young girl in Sweden, Elli had the same dream a lot of kids in our country have- to be a Bollywood star. The colours, confetti and celebration drew her all the way from Sweden to India. Through an inspiring path to success that perhaps deserves its own movie, she has gone on to star in some of India’s top shows and movies. Elli AvrRam has conquered the boundaries of language and culture, to share the energy that every person associated with Indian cinema has.
On the TEDxBITSGoa stage, Elli tells us her story. This the story of how she crossed every hurdle that came her way and left no stone unturned to reach her goal. From learning a new language to navigating the country and industry as an outsider, she has shown us that if you put your heart and soul into following a passion, dreams do come true Elli AvrRam is a half Greek, half Swedish model who was so mesmerized by the colours and passion of Indian cinema that she decided to become a part of it, even if that meant learning a new language and the ways of an entirely foreign country. She made it big in the industry by appearing on the big screen in movies like Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Mickey Virus. On TV, you would have seen her on Bigg Boss, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, The Verdict, and Inside Edge 2. She is a great dancer and frequently posts kathak and belly dancing routines.
