NASA’s new Perseverance rover is scheduled to land on Mars at around 3:55 pm EST on February 18. It will land in a location known as Jezero Crater, an ancient lake and river delta, where it will search for signs of ancient life and collect samples of Martian rock and soil for a future sample-return mission to Earth.
