By a vote of 50-49, the Senate last night passed Sen. Tom Cotton’s (R-AR) amendment banning federal funding of the teaching of critical race theory to schoolchildren, due to Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) crossing party lines to vote in favor of it.
