Washington’s Republican secretary of state, Kim Wyman, will serve as the federal government’s lead election security official, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced Tuesday, heading up the Biden administration’s efforts to stop election interference after she broke with much of her party to oppose baseless claims of voter fraud.
