Boeing on Sunday recommended that airlines ground scores of its wide-body 777 jets equipped with a particular engine type, a day after a Boeing 777 flown by United Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing at Denver when its engine broke apart mid-flight and prompted concerns over the safety of the aircraft model which has seen two similar engine failures in recent years.
