State Department Holds Briefing As Taliban Continues Seizing Territory In Afghanistan (Forbes Breaking News)

The State Department holds a hearing as the Taliban managed to seize three more provincial capitals in Afghanistan, local officials said on Wednesday, a move that now puts nine of the nation’s 34 such towns under the control of the Islamist insurgent group as it tries to make a push towards the national capital of Kabul while U.S. troops continue their planned withdrawal from the country.
