Yesterday in a nearly 9-hour Senate Rules Committee hearing on HR1, Democrats’ For the People Act, GOP Senators proposed dozens of amendments — and though ultimately the bill deadlocked 9-9 on party lines, it still could leave committee and head to the Senate floor for a vote.
