Agyei shares with the audience what it means to be a typeface designer. He explains that although we may take it for granted type shapes the world we are in and is not a luxury afforded to all.
Agyei Archer is a designer based in Trinidad and Tobago. He studied Visual Communications at the University of Trinidad and Tobago and typeface design at The Cooper Union. His interests include language, culture, and technology, especially as they relate to the Caribbean. Agyei has 12 years experience in creating brand identities, websites, digital products, publications, and event invites— all with a focus on solutions that integrate meaningfully, considered graphics, strong typography, and nimble, well-written code.
