Political campaigns can cost a lot of money and require support from outside sources. One way campaigns get their money is through political action committees. The largest PACs, that are able to give unlimited amounts of money to candidates, are called Super PACs. Legally independent from the candidate, these committees attract money from donors who are interested in supporting particular candidates who they think will shape the country the way they want.
