No teenager should have to call themselves a youth climate activist. If politicians had listened to the science 30 years ago, young people all over the world would not have to organize strikes. However, even though the best time to take climate action is long gone, the last chance to act is now. Join Fridays for Future. On behalf of the Fridays for Future movement, Franziska will be talking about how there should not be a Fridays for Future movement, since political leaders could have minimized the threat of the climate crisis 30 years ago. However, it is clear that we need this movement now more than ever. Right now, we still have hope that we can limit the fatal consequences of this crisis, but we need everyone. We need everyone to realize the gravity of this issue and act accordingly, by putting pressure on decisionmakers to take climate action now. Join us. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
