Merck’s Covid Pill Authorized For First Time In The U.K. (Forbes Breaking News)

The U.K.’s medicine regulator approved Merck’s pill to treat Covid-19 Thursday, saying it was “safe and effective” at reducing the risk of hospitalization and death by half for adults with mild to moderate Covid, making Britain the first country to authorize the antiviral pill.
