Millions of Americans have been tested for Covid-19 for free since March. However, this isn’t the case for everyone. Despite the fact that multiple legislative initiatives have been signed into law to make coronavirus tests free and accessible, many Americans have walked into testing locations under the impression that their test would be free of charge or covered by their insurance, only to find that the test would cost hundreds of dollars out of pocket.
